The Viennese start-up zone14 is once again sending out a strong signal in favour of women in sport this year. ‘Focus: Women in Football’ initiative is entering its second round and will run from 8 February to 8 March. The aim of the campaign is to further increase awareness of women's football and put the spotlight on the outstanding achievements of female athletes.
As part of the campaign, zone14 is once again organising numerous events, digital activities and social media campaigns to generate enthusiasm for women in sport. Through targeted promotion, the company aims to make a lasting contribution to equality in sport and strengthen diversity in football.
‘Football is more than a game - it is a platform for equality, inspiration and social change. After the overwhelming response last year, we are delighted that our initiative is entering its second round. We are particularly proud that top clubs and real role models are once again on board to share their experiences and provide exciting panel discussions. The fact that well-known partners such as Kurier and Raiffeisen Bank International are once again taking part shows the impact of our first event - and how important it is to continue along this path. Together with our co-initiators Lara Krampf and Jasmin Sommer, we are shaping a sport that belongs to everyone - regardless of gender or origin. Because real progress begins where talent is not overlooked, but celebrated. - Simon Schmiderer, founder of zone14
A special highlight of this year's campaign is the panel discussion ‘Focus: Women in Football: The Talk’ on 3 March at the FH Technikum Wien (Höchstädtplatz 6, 1200, Vienna). The event will once again be moderated by Sky reporter Nera Palinic. Experts from the world of sport, including players, coaches and representatives from renowned clubs such as Katja Gürtler from SK Rapid and Lisa Makas from Austria Wien, will be part of the evening. Current developments, challenges and opportunities in women's football will be discussed. The panel discussions offer all interested parties the unique opportunity to get actively involved and help shape the future of women in sport.
zone14 is calling on sports enthusiasts, experts, media representatives and the general public to take part in the campaign and actively support the events. The company is convinced that this initiative will further strengthen the perception and recognition of female athletes.
